more Dublin

The National Museum of Archaeology was open on Thursday!   We focused on the Irish exhibits, particularly those from the Viking period.
Here's a grindwheel that was recycled as a tombstone.  There treasures from various Viking hordes, and an exhibit on King Brian Boru (who wasn't interested in throwing the Vikings out of Ireland, just curtailing their power).

We received Holy Eucharist at Christ Church Cathedral.  After we had a late lunch at a pub:  a lamb shank for Greg, and shepard's pie for Noralynn.

St. Audoen's Church dates from the 12th century.

Dublin has a memorial garden for police who have given their lives.

We finished the day with a service of Choral Evensong at St. Patrick's Cathedral.  There were only ten choristers, but the nave was filled with song.
